BookWise is a computer booking system, developed specifically for Outpatient Departments. BookWise is as simple, logical and user-friendly as possible.

Availability Check

With our point and click navigation finding the information you want within BookWise could not be simpler. Select a:

  • Site
  • Department
  • Zone - collection of rooms that can be used together
  • Room

Search for :

  • Times
  • Multiple rooms within a zone
  • Room types, eg examination, consultation
  • Equipment including both static and mobile items

BookWise will return a list of options that meet the criteria. Click the best option to make a booking.

Booking Scheduling

The Booking Form allows you to record the basic details of the booking as well as:

  • Title for clinic
  • Clinic codes
  • Equipment requirements

BookWise will check to make sure that all selected resources are available for the duration of the booking.

Once a booking is on the system it can be easily replicated in a variety of ways at the touch of a button using our Multiple Booking functionality.

Resource Management

Take control over how your bookings can be made. You can decide which items of equipment are available in each of your rooms.

Specify your quantities of equipment and BookWise will ensure that you cannot overbook these items.

Define your rooms by speciality, type and fixed equipment. Notify predefined list by email on cancellation of existing clinics.

Reports

A set of management reports are available which cover all aspects of the system. Reports include:

  • Room usage
  • Level of activity by clinic code
  • Booking status
  • Consultant

All of our reports can be exported in to Microsoft Excel to allow any further manipulation or formatting as required.

Point and click functionality is available here, if you see a booking in your report that you would like to see further details on - click it!

System Administration

Our User Management area allows the system administrator to assign levels of access within BookWise. A user can be allocated access to a range of tasks dependent on their role.

The data that can be updated includes:

  • Sites
  • Zones
  • Room Details
  • Equipment
  • Consultants

Intranet

Access to the data held within BookWise is supplied via your existing hospital intranet!

Access to booking information reduces the number of telephone booking requests.

Once suitable rooms are found then a request can be made to the appropriate booking manager.
