BookWise Oncology is a computer booking system, developed specifically for oncology units. BookWise is as simple, logical and user-friendly as possible.

Booking Scheduling

The Booking Form allows you to record the basic details of the booking as well as:

• Regimen to be administered
• Average duration
• Any additional procedures required
• Consultant
• Nurse

These bookings are linked to a patient already saved in BookWise Oncology. This allows the system to automatically enter information such as patient number and contact telephone details.

BookWise will check to make sure that all selected resources are available for the duration of the booking.

Once a booking is on the system it can be easily replicated in a variety of ways at the touch of a button using our Multiple Booking functionality.

Resource Management

Take control over how your bookings can be made. You can decide which urgent requests are available for each of your chairs. You can also assign nurses and consultants to appointments, allowing you to offer an improved service.

A direct link to your pharmacy means both the unit and the pharmacy have up to date accurate information. Any last minute cancellations can be instantly seen by the pharmacy, reducing drug wastage.

The Staff Availability area allows you to log any absence of staff and reports are available to view upcoming issues.

Reports

A set management reports are available which cover all aspects of the system. You can run reports to look at things such as:

• Pharmacy report
• Unit activity
• Chair usage
• Regimens administered
• Cancelled bookings
• Toxicity reports
• Blood results
• IV access

All of our reports can be exported in to Microsoft Excel to allow any further manipulation or formatting as required.

Point and click functionality is available here, if you see a booking in your report that you would like to see further details on - double-click it!

Assessment

The additional assessment option, further expands the funtionality of the booking system. Storage of assessment details can be attached to each booking made on BookWise Oncology.

The assessment details included are:

• Toxicity grading
• Blood results
• IV access

System Navigation

With our point and click navigation finding the information you want within BookWise Oncology could not be simpler. The Calendar Form allows you to select a day and review all relevant unit activity. When you have found the booking you are looking for simply double-click on it to look at the complete details.

The fixed icons at the top of the screen provide access to other key areas of the system. These areas include the Booking Form, your patient details, as well as the Search facilities.

System Administration

Our User Management area allows the system administrator to assign levels of access within BookWise Oncology. A user can be allocated access to a range of tasks dependent on their role.

We offer complete flexibility within the system. You are free to add new chairs, new regimens or new ‘urgent requests’. You are able to alter the names of existing resources held within BookWise, all without the need to resort to additional development costs.

Multi Site

If you work closely with other units then our multi site option allows users to make and view bookings at any of the sites they have been given permission to access. Improving information flow and availability will allow you to maximise all of the resources you have available.

All of the reports found within BookWise Oncology can be run on a per site basis or collectively when in a multi site environment.
