Worldwide there are over 40 million living with HIV or Aids. In South Africa it is estimated that there are 5.3 million that are HIV positive and that 2000 more are infected every day.
According to a United Nations report in November of 2005, at least 85% of these people are not receiving anti-retroviral aids treatment.
There are number areas that need to be addressed. These include:
Is for all to help save the lives of those infected with HIV and Aids, via education, social support and care, administering of the treatments, and managing the pandemic through structured systems.
To deliver ARV treatment to those infected as quickly and seamlessly as possible, and to have a computerised system that will monitor and manage their every physical and mental health need.
Virtualpurple has modified their successful booking software to meet the urgent needs for managing HIV and Aids patient records, and administering the rollout of ARV medication.
In order to measure a patient’s progress, it is imperative that records are kept of visits, medication, blood counts, dietary and nutrition intake etc. It is from this data that statistical information can be produced to prove the success of the HIV/Aids programme and the rollout.
Virtualpurple Professional Services are passionate about packaging and delivering a computerised solution to fight the HIV and Aids pandemic.
This will be through the BookWise brand of software products developed and supported by Virtualpurple Professional Services.
South Africa is in desperate need of a solution and therefore VPPS are addressing the urgent need of this country. VPPS have established a presence in the country and are in consultation with the department of Health.
